Encouraging the participation and enjoyment of Creative Arts in North Somerset
Grace Ahern is a young creative individual who uses nature as her inspiration and explores this through colour and various disciplines such as ceramics, woodwork and textiles. She wants to depict the beauty within our world, the ying and the yang from natural patterns through to humanity. She makes a conscious effort to try use environmentally friendly materials and upcycle anything she can to produce her outcomes. She lives in North Somerset and also has an interest of interior design.
Jud has a background in teaching printmaking and working as a graphic designer, though is currently painting in oils. She is mostly inspired by local landscapes and waterscapes which sometimes hint at a background narrative. Dramatic light, ancient structures - both natural and man made, elevating the mundane, line, colour, forgotten corners, texture, stillness and contrast are all prompts to take up a brush and paint.
Bridget is a professional artist and has a passion for creating art in many forms. Living in Somerset and Cornwall enables her to immerse herself in nature and natural surroundings. She has developed a deep awareness of, and intense relationship with these places and is drawn to secret and secluded corners, such as meadows, woodlands and hedgerows. Her seascapes and coastal paintings are full of colour with layers of paint to create the depth of the Cornish seas and the drama of the moving sky’s. She tries to produce work that captures the beauty of nature and that reminds us of the things often taken for granted in our increasingly busy lives. From her beautiful studio situated in her fabulous home, she will be exhibiting her latest artwork. You will find original paintings, a large collection of fine art prints, greeting cards, hand painted vases, mugs, jewellery and much more. With many price variants this makes Bridget’s artwork affordable so there is something for everyone.
