NSA Membership

North Somerset Arts runs a 2-year membership programme, which includes Arts Week in the first year and our Member's Exhibition in the second year.

Membership applications for 2026-2028 are now open!

Our 2 year membership includes the following benefits: Participation in Arts Week including an individual listing in the brochure Inclusion in our Members’ Exhibition Free admission to all of our ArtsMeets Website members listing Showcase your work to over a thousand supporters and followers Opportunity to be the featured artist on our website homepage Priority submission of events and listings in our monthly newsletter Participation in fun NSA social and fundraising events Connecting with other local artists Potential collaboration opportunities with other members or art groups Expectations of individual members: NSA is a volunteer-led organisation and relies on volunteers from the membership to help organise / set up events and exhibitions. Members are expected to steward events/exhibitions they are taking part in. Members will be expected to meet deadlines set by NSA when taking part in or applying to take part in events and exhibitions. Members will be expected to help in the distribution of brochures and other publicity materials for any event/exhibition they take part in as well as helping to spread the word through their own marketing channels (e.g. word of mouth, social media and any other opportunity available to them). Members must abide by the terms and conditions for any NSA events. Penalties for breaching the conditions will be determined by the committee and may include removal from membership and/or fines to cover additional costs and admin charges incurred as a result. Members may only use NSA branding (e.g. flags, banners, posters, logos) for events organised or in collaboration with NSA. All exhibitors for Arts Week must be NSA members. Venues found to have non-members exhibiting may be fined the full membership amount for each non-member.

Intended for art clubs, schools and teaching studios etc. Requirements to qualify for group membership: Minimum of 10 members. Group members should meet at least 10 times per year for a practical art activity. Groups should charge fees for membership, classes or education (except for educational establishments). This is not intended for individual artists that only exhibit together or share workspace. The Group price above includes the following benefits for the Group as a whole: Participation in Arts Week including a single listing for the group at one venue location Representation at our Members’ Exhibition Free admission to all our Arts Meets for at least one Group representative (additional representatives may be able to join at the discretion of the committee if venue space and individual member numbers permit) Website entry listing for the Group as a whole Chances to showcase the work of the Group to over a thousand supporters and followers Priority submission of events and listings in our monthly newsletter Participation in fun NSA social and fundraising events Connecting with other local artists Potential collaboration opportunities with other members or art groups Expectations of Groups: The Group Point of Contact will be the NSA primary point of contact for all communications and activities and will be expected to relay communications to all members of their group to ensure our deadlines are met and activities required by us from their Group are performed correctly. NSA is a volunteer-led organisation and relies on volunteers from the membership to help organise / set up events and exhibitions. Groups are expected to provide stewards for events/exhibitions they are taking part in. Groups will be expected to meet deadlines set by NSA when taking part in or applying to take part in events and exhibitions. Groups will be expected to help in the distribution of brochures and other publicity materials for any event/exhibition they take part in as well as helping to spread the word through their own marketing channels (e.g. word of mouth, social media and any other opportunity available to them). Groups must abide by the terms and conditions for any NSA events. Groups may only use NSA branding for events organised by NSA. All exhibitors for Arts Week must be part of the group membership. Venues found to have non-members exhibiting may be fined the full membership amount for each non-member. Groups must provide a list of names and contact email address of members of the group so each person can have access to the membership benefits.

Membership Fees

Due to careful budgeting the committee has been able to reduce membership fees again this year!

Individual Membership: £125
or sign up before 1st October for our Early Bird rate of £115

Group Membership: £200

Membership fees can be paid in full or in 2 instalments, with the second payment due by 17th January.

Important Dates

  • 2nd September - NSA AGM with announcement of membership fees

  • 3rd September - Membership applications open

  • 1st October - Deadline for Early Bird membership fees

  • 31st October - Deadline for membership applications and first membership fees payment

  • 31st December - Deadline for venue information for ArtsWeek

  • 17th January - Deadline for final membership fees payment
