John is a self taught bird carver. He lived in the USA for four and a half years, where he was introduced to the art of Decoy carving. He has competed in the UK National championships run by the British Decoy and Wild Life Carvers Association. He has also competed in the Bird Carving World Championship held annually in Delaware USA.
