Julie is a professional fine artist with a lifelong passion for Watercolour. Born in Bristol she has lived in the area all her life and is inspired by a wide range of subjects – from local landscapes to portraiture and florals. She has a particular passion for the natural world and Cornish subjects. Julie is always looking to capture the emotion of her subject in a contemporary yet traditional style telling a story in her interpretation. She does explore other mediums – and is not averse to mixing them up if the subject calls for a more experimental approach. Julie is a keen en plein air painter and is one of the 6 North Somerset artists @art6explore who interpret monthly themes for an online exhibition on their social media pages. They also hold occasional live events locally. All the ART6 Artists are exhibiting at Portbury Church. Julie is an experienced art tutor running adult Watercolour lessons in the inspiring venue of Portbury Church. She also offers workshops and guest tutor sessions for local art groups.
