Ros Cuthbert MA (RCA), RWA is a professional artist and Royal West of England Academician who has lived in Winscombe since 1981. She studied Painting at the Central School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. Ros has won several art prizes including the Figurative Art Prize at the RCA, 2nd prize at the National Portrait Gallery’s Portrait Competition and 1st prize at the RWA Open. She has exhibited in many one-person and group shows in the UK and beyond, and has work in private collections worldwide. Work in public collections includes the National Portrait Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Poetry Library, the Royal College of Art, and Madame Tussauds London. Her recent magical and mysterious watercolours are inspired by buildings, spaces, streets and views close to home, often seen at dawn or dusk. Commissions are welcomed.
