Claire Hall
Various
Claire Hall is a professional glass artist working from her studio in Brockley, North Somerset. She originally trained as a sculptor with an Honours Degree in Fine Art and a PGCE in Art, Design & Technology, eventually transferring to glass during her time travelling in the USA.
Claire is a successful educator within the glass field and a regular masterclass teacher at Warm Glass UK and West Dean College. She has also taught extensively across Europe, most recently in the USA at Pittsburgh Glass Center.
Her glass art has been selected for prestigious exhibitions at London Glassblowing Gallery, The National Glass Centre, the British Glass Biennale and GAS, Detroit.
Inspired by the local coastline, Claire’s work captures remembered sensations and experiences within the landscape. Drawing, painting and photography are integral to her practice - making becomes a cathartic and meditative process enabling the unconscious mind to flow.
