Teän Kirby is a ceramic artist of long experience, she makes sculptural and decorative pieces in response to the wonderful coastal woodland environment in which she lives. Her work is generally hand built using pinch, slab or coil techniques. Teän's work is in a range of sizes and clays from delicate porcelain pots and sculptural raku, suitable for a shelf or windowsill, through to large stoneware garden pots and sculptures. Tean enjoys the challenge of exploring the different clays, glazes and firing techniques that working in ceramics offers.
