Caroline Wait Enamels Caroline Wait Enamels Caroline Wait Enamels 1/1 As an artist, I have spent 17 years perfecting my skills as an enamelled copper and mixed media artist. The versatility of enamelling and the ability to achieve bright, vibrant colours continually inspire me. I love incorporating these colourful creations into everyday objects to produce unique pieces of art. A quote that deeply resonates with me is, "You watch it cool down slowly from white or red heat to deep blues, solemn violets, juicy greens, subtle lilacs, glowing orange, with a pure unbroken glaze for the surface, and then you know that your labour is not in vain, your work beautiful, it will never fade" - Edith Dawson, Enamels. During the lockdown, I delved into the world of mixed media and discovered a love of creating my crazy grey-haired ladies. I enjoy blending them with unusual objects, providing me with an opportunity to frequent vintage fairs and unearth hidden treasures. Her inspiration primarily comes from the beauty of the natural world and she enjoys experimenting with scale and context, attempting to create works that communicate energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the viewer. Her latest exhibition in Bristol’s Square Club celebrated the wonderful botanical inspiration provided by the Bristol Botanic Garden.
